PROGRAM PHILOSOPHY
Ari Guiragos Minassian Preschool provides a learning environment committed to developing the child as a “whole.”
At Ari Guiragos Minassian Preschool, each child is:

PROGRAM CURRICULUM
Ari Guiragos Minassian Preschool’s curriculum develops the child’s academic skills and enhances his/her social skills. The program allows each child to discover, and expand upon his/her own special talents. In preschool, we offer a learning environment, emphasizing the following five development domains: cognitive development, social development, physical development, and language development.
Cognitive Skills: Children acquire concepts in mathematics, science, social studies, health and other academic areas. For example, children learn numbers, colors, shapes, and the alphabet in English and Armenian via the use of songs, games, props, and action. Additionally, children are exposed to and taught Armenian traditions, and celebrate Armenian Holidays.
Language Arts: Children acquire pre-reading skills in Armenian and English and learn special children’s songs, translated from English to Armenian, such as: Small World, Rise and Shine, Mary and the Little Lamb, Jesus Loves Me.
Social Skills: Children are provided many opportunities to develop social skills such as cooperating, helping, and negotiating.
Gross Motor Skills: Children have daily opportunities to use large muscles by running, jumping, and balancing. They are also provided opportunities to use small muscles by drawing, writing, using scissors, etc.
Aesthetic Skills: Children have daily opportunities for aesthetic expression and appreciation through art and music. For example, children enjoy dancing with scarves or pomp-pomes.
*Ari Guiragos Minassian Preschool is licensed by the state of California to serve the needs of children ages 3 through 5 years old and currently in the process of acquiring accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
The following are the guidelines set by California State Department of Education for enrolling children in age appropriate classroom settings.
• A child must be 3 years old by December 2nd to be admitted and placed
into 3-year-old groupPre- (Kindergarten I, at Ari Guiragos Minassian).
• A child must be 4 years old by December 2nd to be admitted and placed into 4-year-old group (Pre- (Kindergarten II, at Ari Guiragos Minassian).
Hours of Operation
Pre-school hours are from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Extended care is available for working parents, from 7:00-8:00 a.m. and 3:45-5:00 p.m. for a minimal fee.
Program Related Fees
One time Registration Fee: $300
Monthly Tuition:
Full-time (5 days a week) $550.00
Part-time (3 days a week) $475
Part-time (2 days a week) $400
Extended Hours:
7:00 AM - 8:00 AM $70
3:45 PM - 6:00 PM $180
Morning & Afternoon $250
