Music and Movement Program
Infants/Toddlers (ages 18 months to 3 years of age)
With continued efforts in providing Armenian Students of Orange County, CA and surrounding areas, an excellent academic program, Ari G. Minassian Armenian School is proud to announce the second year of the Mayrig and Me program. The Mayrig and Me program has proven to be a very successful program, and has been adopted from states such as, Boston and New Jersey.
The Principal, Faculty, and Educational Committee of Ari Guiragos Minassian Armenian School, believe the Mayrig and Me program to be an integral step in the physical and cultural development of each child; successfully preparing each child for entry into Pre-Kindergarten.
During each class meeting, the children enjoy a special Armenian program helping them develop their listening and Armenian language skills, as well as their creativity and physical coordination, through an engaging musical experience. Parents enjoy the companionship, support, and joy of interacting with their child, in a relaxed atmosphere.
The Mayrig and Me instructor presents Armenian songs, instrumental music, sounds and movement, and other medias for the children to enjoy, during the 45 minute class. The instructor interacts with each child, involving and engaging them with the music, instrument, and dance, while the children also interact with their mothers/fathers.
The program promised to enrich both child and parent through a pleasurable Armenian language curriculum of music and appreciation.
